Let me build you a 1-year email marketing campaign that will make homeowners put your roofing business top of mind ALL THE TIME!
Roofing Emails That Turn Stale Homeowners Into Customers
This is still true: email still delivers some of the best ROI in all of marketing — averaging $36 to $40 back for every $1 spent. But here’s the thing… the game has changed.
You can’t just slap together a “Top 5 Roofing Tips” PDF and expect homeowners to hand over their email addresses anymore. Why would they, when they can just Google it or ask ChatGPT?
And a free roof inspection does not cut it anymore because pretty much every roofing company out there offers that. On top of this, homeowners already know roof inspections just mean sales pitches. (You really think homeowners don't know?).
What used to work doesn't work anymore.
People are smarter, savvier, and more selective with what they sign up for. If you want homeowners to give you their email — and actually look forward to hearing from you — you need to be clever.
This is where a good copywriter (persuasive or sales writer) that knows how to write email copy comes in.
The content homeowners read before signing up to a form, the subject lines, and the content within the emails all have to be well thought out and persuasive.
Like a fun waterslide, every step of the way must be smooth and interesting.
Hit the button below or fill out the form — and we will show you ideas roofers can use in their email campaigns that will get homeowners interested and eventually become buyers.
You can also go on to the next section and see some ideas or great ways to capture emails.

Nobody wants to get buried in a long, boring email campaign — especially if it’s just fluff. People are busy. Their inboxes are crowded. If your emails don’t deliver immediate value, they’ll close that email faster than you close pop-ups.
That’s why long email sequences often backfire… unless they’re packed with gold from start to finish.
So, here’s a better way to win trust (and emails) fast:
Offer something, they can use right now — like a simple, instantly valuable checklist say:
Instead of saying “We’ll send you tons of helpful info over time,” say:
“Get our FREE checklist: 10 Things to Look for in a Roofing Estimate — Before You Sign Anything.”
Or: “Download our quick 10-point checklist: How to Know If a Roofer Is Legit (Or About to Scam You).”
These checklists work because they:
Deliver instant value your customers can act on right away
Are easy to read and use — no long reads or slow-drip content
Position you as the trusted expert, not just another roofer
And once they’ve grabbed your checklist, you’ve opened the door to keep the conversation going — with helpful, well-timed follow-ups that educate, build trust, and gently guide them toward hiring you (without being annoying).
Sometimes to gain an edge over the competitors or make a homeowner a bit more interested than they would typically be, you need to sacrifice or invest a little.
Something as simple as giving away a free new gutter system for certain qualified homeowners (if their roof service is big enough) or free roof maintenance twice a year, or anything like those two examples can make homeowners want to learn more.
This might leave a nudge in your profit or time, but the business you will get in return will be worth it. Think about it as making a marketing investment to get qualified roofing leads.
For people to get these benefits, make sure you ask for their email/phone number so they can learn more. Then, you can follow up with a series of emails that will tell homeowners about the free stuff you're giving away and other information that will sway homeowner to choose you over others.
Getting people to pay attention is one of the hardest things to do online. Doing a questionnaire or quiz where people can learn something about themselves or learn something valuable for giving their input can be a good way to get their attention.
A quiz that reads something like "how do you know if you need a simple roof repair or a total roof replacement" or "answer these personality questions to see what type of roofing material suits your style" can really engage people.
Once you gather their answers, you can they ask for an email and number you can send them to.
